A healthy lifestyle can be one of the key factors in preventing the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) during pregnancy. This study aimed to identify the relationship between knowledge of GDM and the lifestyle of women of reproductive age. The research was conducted in Kemang Indah Village, within the working area of the Tambang Public Health Center (UPT Puskesmas Tambang), Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, from May 5 to 12, 2024. This was a quantitative study using a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling, with a total sample of 156 women of reproductive age. Data were collected through an electronic questionnaire. The results of the Chi-Square test showed a significant relationship between knowledge of GDM and the lifestyle of reproductive-age women. These findings suggest that greater knowledge is associated with healthier lifestyles among this population. This study highlights the importance of providing intensive education to women of reproductive age in order to increase awareness and promote healthier behaviors to prevent or reduce the risk of GDM in future pregnancies.
