Author Guidelines

Editorial Brief

Authors are invited to make a submission to the International Community Health Journal (ICHJ). All submissions will be going through a technical check assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal, the editorial policies, the journal's instructions for authors, ethical standards, and methodological flaws. At this stage, the journal may reject or accept the manuscript. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review.

Please note that, before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents, and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Article Categories

ICHJ accepts only an original article studied using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research methodologies.

What to submit to the ICHJ's online submission

Below are the documents you have to submit to the journal's online submission:

Preparing Title Page

The title page consists of the article's title, the author's names and affiliations (with email addresses), acknowledgements, information on funding sources,  author contributions, author biographies, a declaration of conflicting interests, ethical consideration, a statement of data availability,  declaration of using AI in academic writing, and a statement of APC payment after article acceptance. Preparing the Article

The article includes an abstract, introduction, literature review, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references. It should be devoid of any information that might disclose the authors' identities or their affiliations. The template can be found here. Ensure that all writing elements follow APA Formatting Guidelines.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Research Articles

  • The article must present original research findings.
  • It comprises an abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
  • The submission will be subjected to a double-blind peer review process.
  • The total word count must not surpass 8,000 words, including the references.
  • It must cite a minimum of 30 credible sources, ideally from indexed journals.
  • It should not contain any details that could reveal the identities or affiliations of the authors.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
